One of our goals is to provide social services and mentoring that inspire growth, foster resilience, and build leadership among youth. We believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, and our comprehensive programs are designed to equip them with the skills, resources, and support they need to succeed. No one wants to enter adulthood (Manhood or Womanhood) own their own however sometimes life forces us too. The support of specific Black Male Mentorship is needed and hard to find unfortunately. Through the use of technology, this service and the effort to organize communication and activity can help guide your child into a reality and future that they can actually see. (And also the world.)
Our Mission
The B.R.O.S. 1st Initiative aims is to build relationships on the basis that “Self Improvement is the beginning of Community Development.” Through workshops, educational products, literature, retreats, forums, and community outreach membership drives we work to establish this brotherhood. This brotherhood focuses on recruitment, retention, along with being resourceful, rewarding and righteous! The B.R.O.S.1st Initiative ‘s first project is scheduling and hosting male development presentations in local schools, communities and other organizations based right out of our “From Start to Finish Vol.1 “The Family Edition” Coloring/Activity Book.” This is an educational product and method by which B.R.O.S.1st is reaching out to the youth to better prepare them for life through inspirational messages and images that we provide through our program. The B.R.O.S. 1st Initiative is a Mentoring Agency for young males ages 10 through 18. The nature of our sessions focus on “Character, Social and Leadership Development” along with “School to Career Exploration.” The B.R.O.S. 1st Initiative is seeking to help young people build character and life skills through exposure to the world of work and also through the game of chess. We build this brotherhood through character and leadership workshops, educational products, literature, chess coaching, retreats, forums and community outreach.

Building Respect of Self First 101
Online Course
This is an online course loaded with start-up questions to open up band stretch the minds of our youth around the idea of how they see themselves and others. Through different interviews, videos, music, art, charts, tables and graphs we categorize information and activity to guide young black males towards positive growth and development. These areas covered include a Parent Survey, Vision Questionnaire, Guidance Roadmap and much more. The format of the course commands youth to dialogue with the people around them and use the information from the class to develop a filter in their minds to help process information. This teaching is made to support a healthy mental attitude about solving how to think and measure who/what is relevant to them and their future. The objective of this course is to identify three immediate short term goals and an action plan to ensure progress toward the child’s long term goals. In today’s world young black men in America don’t know help exists, and the B.R.O.S.1st (Building Respect of Self First) Academy is actively trying to change that thinking and provide that help and structure.
